Patrick Blennerhassett is an award-winning Canadian journalist who currently lives and works in Las Vegas, Nevada. Blennerhassett was previously a reporter for the South China Morning Post, based out of Hong Kong, first starting with the paper in 2018. He was also a journalist all over British Columbia where he worked for a variety of papers starting in the early 2000s, covering numerous beats including crime, politics, economics, real estate and geopolitics. His work has been published in such outlets as The Guardian, The Globe & Mail, Reader’s Digest, The Chicago Tribune, The Seattle Times and the Miami Herald. His latest book, The Death of Birth, the first book in The Death of Birth Trilogy, is now available on Amazon.
Blennerhassett is also an adjunct professor at the University of Las Vegas, Nevada’s Hank Greenspun of Journalism and Media Studies department while also completing his master’s of journalism and media studies. He is a four-time published author, penning the non-fiction book A Forgotten Legend: Balbir Singh Sr., Triple Olympic Gold & Modi’s New India about field hockey’s cast aside icon which was a BC Bestseller book.
